Rental Agent
Location: Burbank, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time (Temp to Hire)
Pay: $25-$30 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday (occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends as business needs require)
Position Summary
A well-established equipment rental and manufacturing organization serving the motion picture and television industry is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Rental Agent to join its team.
This role is responsible for managing equipment rental transactions, supporting customers throughout the rental process, maintaining accurate records, processing orders, coordinating equipment returns, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, enjoys working with customers, and can successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Client Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding rental equipment, pricing, availability, and scheduling.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Build strong relationships with customers while providing prompt and accurate information.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive rental experience.
Rental Order Management
- Process incoming rental requests and create rental contracts.
- Coordinate rental reservations, equipment availability, and scheduling.
- Manage rental orders from initiation through completion.
- Ensure all customer information, rental details, and equipment records are accurate.
Invoicing & Billing
- Generate invoices and process customer transactions.
- Track rental periods and ensure accurate billing upon equipment return.
- Assist with payment processing and account maintenance.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and support collections efforts when necessary.
Data Entry & Recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate rental records, customer data, and equipment logs.
- Update internal databases and inventory systems.
- Organize and archive rental documentation for future reference.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all recordkeeping activities.
Administrative Support
- Support daily operations related to equipment rentals and customer service.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams regarding equipment availability and scheduling.
- Assist with special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
- Maintain organized workflows and support process improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- Customer service, account management, rental operations, administrative support, or related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high volume of customer interactions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in equipment rentals, logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Familiarity with film, television, entertainment, or production equipment.
- Prior experience with invoicing, billing, or order processing.
